The office of institutional Equity

The Office of Institutional Equity (OIE), in 支持 of the university's efforts to promote and maintain an equitable and safe learning, 生活, and 工作ing environment, oversees and coordinates the university's response to concerns about protected class discrimination and 骚扰, 性ual misconduct, and related retaliation; and partners with other key campus resources to ensure that the university's related policies, 程序, 支持, and assistance are effective, fair to all involved, and consistent with the university's mission and values.

  • Respond to complaints of protected class discrimination and 骚扰, 性ual misconduct, and related retaliation
  • Provide university assistance, including academic and 工作 accommodations, housing modifications, and no communication orders
  • Provide consultation and training related to policies on protected class discrimination and 骚扰, 性ual misconduct, and related retaliation
  • Partner across campus in related prevention efforts

Statement on the Prohibition of Discrimination and Harassment

Seattle University prohibits discrimination and 骚扰 on the basis of race, color, 宗教, 性, 国家的起源, 年龄, 残疾, 婚姻状况, 性ual orientation, 性别认同, gender expression, political ideology, genetic information, 种姓, hair texture and protective hair styles, status as a Vietnam-era or special disabled veteran, status as a victim of domestic violence, 性侵犯, 或跟踪, or any other basis prohibited by applicable federal, 状态, 或者当地法律.  Discrimination and 骚扰 on the basis of 性 includes 性ual misconduct.  除了, Seattle University prohibits retaliation against any individual who makes a good faith report or otherwise provides information about discrimination, 骚扰, or 性ual misconduct.
